Aamir Khan, the perfectionist, is
doing what he does best again. Now, we’ve been informed that for his upcoming
film, P.K., the actor has been busy taking lessons in Bhojpuri as his character
will be required to speak the language.
A source close to the film reveals, “Aamir has
been trying to master Bhojpuri for the last four months. Everyone is
wondering why he has been learning a language that is traditionally spoken in
east Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, when the film has largely been shot in
Rajasthan.” This is a new twist to the tale. There is a lot of curiosity as to
what the film is about.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Aamir has taken lessons to learn a language for a role. While he was preparing for his part in Ashutosh Gowariker’s movie, Lagaan (2001), he had learnt to speak Awadhi.
Meanwhile, the source informs us that this entire year, the actor and the makers will be busy travelling to Rajasthan and back to Mumbai, finishing the shooting schedule of P.K. The film, which marks the reunion of the 3 Idiots (2009) team — Vidhu Vinod Chopra (producer), Rajkumar Hirani (director) and Aamir — is expected to release next year.
