Robert Downey Jr to visit India?

By Hindustan Times
Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr might soon be visiting India — but not to promote the third instalment of Marvel’s superhero franchise, Iron Man 3, in which he plays the main lead. A highly placed trade source reveals that the actor is supposed to come to India as part of an eight-city world tour to spread awareness about sustainable energy. “He is expected to start his world tour in November from New York. The other cities include London, Tokyo, Paris, Delhi, Venice and Dubai,” says the source.
The actor is apparently intrigued by the concept of sustainable energy that has been incorporated in the film as well. He was supposed to start travelling about the time of the film’s release to spread awareness about the cause, but his other commitments have kept him busy. “He is shooting for The Avengers 2, which will continue until October, so he plans to leave just after the film is wrapped up,” says the source. However, the dates and plans for his visit to Delhi are yet to be decided.
Disney-UTV, the distributor of Iron Man 3 in India, hasn’t got any confirmation on Robert’s visit or the place where he would be speaking about the cause. When contacted, they remained unavailable for comment.
